Apartments Leslie - Budapest

I got excellent value for my money at Apartments Leslie. The room wasnice and neat, with a nice balcony and all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect, close to public transportation and within walking distance of city attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always responding quickly to my messages.

Hotel breakfast could have been better with more variety of options.

The place is nearly impossible to find at night time. The building reeks of smoking, dark and unfriendly. The room was dark and in desperate need of painting. The whole place must have been used as accomodation for workers during the great socialism. It should not be advertised as a hotel suitable for international travellers!

Cheats on the exchange rate... They advertised that it should be paid in huf only and had different exchange rate

I had a fantastic stay at Apartments Leslie for 3 nights. The communication with the host was excellent, and the staff at the reception desk were very polite and helpful. The location was perfect, not too crowded but well-connected to the city center by buses and metro. Having a Lidl nearby was very convenient, and there were plenty of restaurants in the area. The room was comfortable, clean, and exactly as shown in the pictures. The locked luggage room was a huge plus, allowing us to explore the city after checking out. a 10 out of 10 for budget-conscious travelers like myself.

I would recommend this hotel.

Kitchenette in the room, proximity to the metro station, low price, quiet surroundings.

No kettle, very slow internet, tattered curtains, dirty walls, smelly towels, little space in the room.

There is a trolley bus stop in front of the building, a stop of a normal bus around the corner and the metro stop Lehel Ter is 5 minutes walking away, so you can get quickly onto the public transport.

Towels and bed linen smelled like they have been for years in the cupboard. The towels did not even take up water. The cutlery looked like it had not been cleaned in months and also the equipment to clean it was smelly.

Close to all sight seeings, parliament, Danube, historic monuments, cathedral, shopping. Budapest is a must see.

Triple room much smaller and crammed than in pictures. Staff didn't speak much English, lucky with my sister-in-low who could speak Hungarian.

The room was not clean enough. The sheets and towels looked like not really clean.

though our stay was comfortable, the rooms are not as clean or as big as they come accross in the pictures. Mr. Leslie is a very nice person who helped us a lot with local travel and arranging for our conveyance from Budapest to Vienna. However, they could do better with providing cleaner towels and bed linens...

Apartments are very close to a big and very well equiped market, close to the second largest mall in Budapest - West End (no more than 3 minutes walk), 2 mins to blue M3 Metro line, bus stops infront of main enterance... Parking is cheap and is behind electonic door, so your car is safe during stay. Place is generaly very quiet, so it's nice for rest. Staff is very nice, not so good in English, but enough if you don't have any special requests...

The worst thing was the bed. It was broken in the middle so your spine really hurts in the morning... Ofcourse, we were complaining and they did change it, but new one was just marginaly better, still with broken middle, a bit less but still very unconfortable.... We were determined that this will not ruin our stay so we didn't loose time on asking for another one. The lobby or the rooms are not very clean, it could be much better. No AC, no hair dryers, no cattle, not even TV remote... I know it's written on their site (dryer and AC), but I also read somewhere that there is breakfast included... Well, there isn't. It's simpply like the place that is close to be closed forever or to be renovated soon. There are much better places for about the same price.

Very good location - close to the city center, the Danube. Good choice for its price. Friendly staff. Quite comfortable rooms for a short stay.
